Meet the Board

2025 Executive Board Members

President: Betsy Bowyer (Bee Bee)

Betsy is a married mom of 4 and grandmother of 2, who moved to this area from Vermont in 2005. When she’s not busy homeschooling or driving kids all over the place, you can find her running on the treadmill or baking something sweet to go with her coffee. She also volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for kids in abuse and neglect cases in family court.

Vice President: Kris Beard

Kris is a stay at home mom of two. She moved to Aiken with her husband in 2013 after graduating with her PhD from Clemson. With her kids at school, she spends her days working as a consultant on research into ASD (a cause near to her heart because of her own child’s diagnosis), chasing gains at the gym, or relaxing on the sofa with a stack of library books and a coffee. Kris has been a member of the league since its formation because she sees membership, and now leadership, as part of living her value of community and BEING the village.

Membership: Alexandria Lida

Lida is the mom of two (soon to be three!) kiddos. She’s originally from New Jersey, but horses brought her to Aiken back in 2011. She’s a Disney fanatic, animal lover, and she enjoys taking up new crafts in her “spare” time. Her favorite thing about Moms League of Aiken is all the wonderful women she’s had the chance to meet.

Treasurer: Elise Hermida

Elise is a stay-at-home mother to one. My biggest joys are hobby gardening, knitting, and sewing. My super power is wash, dry fold, putting clothes away in the same day! I love volunteering in my community and sharing time with other moms.
